Needless to say, that “the incident” was so bad that she can’t ever face Matthew again and goes to great lengths to avoid him whenever she sees him.Īt first I didn’t realize the crossovers from Matchmaker (Empire High, #4) to this book even with the Name Matthew Caldwell. She is afraid to actually date or even get too close to men due to what she refers to as “the incident” which happened the last time she was out on a date (with Matthew Caldwell). She does this so that her so-called stalker can see her as he leaves his apartment. Every Tuesday and Thursday before spin class, she sits outside on a bench across from a posh apartment building called One57. Much of it revolves around her “stalker” who in fact she is stalking.
