I really liked the direction the story took in the second half how they fell in love and how they struggled to make something from it. The pace and writing style seemed a bit off and it was difficult to get into the story, again this all improved greatly in the second half of the book. There was a lot of Lori felt like this, Lori thought this, Lori did this. There was a lot of telling and combined with the third perspective it made me feel a bit distanced from the events going on. In the first half of the book I considered DNF’ing it, but I am happy I read the whole book as the second half was better.Īnother thing that bugged me was the telling instead of showing in this book. I enjoyed the second half more and I was happy to learn a bit more about the characters. The second half focussed more on the falling on love part, although there still was a lot of sex. For me a book needs to have a solid story beside the sex and in the first half of this book there didn’t seem to be any story. I wanted to know their story, their personalities and what they did and thought when they weren’t having sex. I don’t mind sex in books, but here there was no story there where just scenes telling how these two character had sex. The first half of the book is basically sex skip forward sex skip forward etc. The second half of the book is a lot better then the first half, as the second half is where the story starts. And then gradually she starts falling in love with him and he with her. The story follows the basic plot outlined in the blurb, Lori is still a virgin and hires an escort to have sex with. I did enjoy it and kept reading until the end, but there where also some things that bugged me. Escorted in some ways was exactly how I expected it to be and other ways entirely different. When I read the blurb for Escorted I thought it sounded like a fun and original story and when i heard about it being on sale for 0.99 i quickly grabbed my copy. And, despite his professionalism, he doesn’t seem entirely immune either. Lori knows that nothing would be as foolish as falling in love with her paid escort, but she’s never been wise with her heart. Soon, she becomes one of his regular clients. She assumes one time with Ander will be enough, but she never dreams how much pleasure he can make her feel.
